I started out like almost everyone: playing songs from memory without understanding why they worked. When I wanted to study theory, every book I found was written for the conservatory, not for someone holding an electric guitar.

After more than twenty years as a musician, composer and producer, I wrote the books I wish I'd had: theory made for musicians who play, explained with real songs, audio and fully worked-out exercises.

§ 01Background

Beyond the books

I'm a multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer and mixing engineer. I produce artists and compose music for film and animation.

I translated the harmony treatises of Jean-Philippe Rameau into Spanish, one of the founding works of modern music theory.

I was a guest professor at Sorbonne Université (2022) and at the Universidad Nacional de San Martín in Argentina (2018).

My books come from that mix: the rigor of theory and the day-to-day practice of someone who makes a living playing, recording and composing.
