Who we are
Musimagno is run by Damián Calle, an independent musician based in San Luis, Argentina, who is responsible for your personal data (the "controller"). Privacy questions: [email protected].
What we collect
- When you buy: your email address, the products you bought, the amount paid and the payment ID. Your card details are handled directly by our payment processor, Whop; they never touch our servers.
- When you join a waitlist or ask for free material: your email address.
- When you request a refund: your name, email address and order details.
- Technical data: IP address, browser, approximate country and campaign parameters (UTM). We use your IP address to show prices in your local currency and to help prevent fraud.
How we use it
- To deliver what you bought and help you if anything goes wrong.
- To show prices in your local currency.
- To prevent fraud and keep the store secure.
- To measure how our ads on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) perform.
- To send you the free material you asked for and, if you subscribed, occasional updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Legal bases (EU and UK)
If you're in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the GDPR and the UK GDPR apply. We process your data to fulfill our contract with you (delivering your purchase), for our legitimate interests (fraud prevention, security and basic sales measurement), with your consent (the Meta pixel and marketing emails), and to meet our legal obligations (accounting and tax records). You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Who we share it with
Only with the service providers we need to run the store:
- Cloudflare: website hosting and database.
- Whop: payment processing.
- Resend: email delivery.
- Meta Platforms: ad measurement. Your email address is sent hashed (SHA-256), never in plain text.
We don't sell your personal data. Some of these providers are based in the United States and process data there. Argentina, where we're based, is recognized by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection.
Cookies
We use one first-party cookie to remember the currency you chose, plus the Meta pixel, which sets cookies (_fbp, _fbc) to measure our ads. You can decline the pixel from the cookie banner and the store works exactly the same. In the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the pixel only loads if you accept it.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to send you a copy of it, or to stop using it for a particular purpose. Just email [email protected] and we'll take care of it.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We don't sell personal information. Sharing data with Meta for ad measurement may count as "sharing" under California law; you can opt out by declining the pixel in the cookie banner or by emailing us. We won't treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
If you're not happy with how we handle your data, you can also contact your local data protection authority (for example, the ICO in the UK).
How long we keep it
We keep purchase records for as long as accounting and tax rules require. Subscriber emails are kept until you unsubscribe.
